Jeremy Johnstone is a DIY filmmaker drawn to dark, offbeat stories with a streak of humor. A veteran editor & music video director with a sharp sense of rhythm and structure, he’s spent the past two decades crafting short films, music videos, and documentaries known for their bold visuals and strange, enigmatic characters. The Money marks his return to narrative filmmaking after years working behind the scenes, helping other people achieve their vision.

Over the years, Jeremy has immersed himself in every facet of DIY filmmaking—editing, cinematography, writing and directing (even color, animation, and title design)—earning awards across disciplines. His multi-hyphenate approach has given him a distinctive style that blends bold visuals with off-kilter narratives.

Having long envisioned a return to narrative filmmaking, Jeremy personally financed and produced The Money, guiding it from script to screen with full creative control. The project distills everything he’s learned in his multidisciplinary career and serves as a launchpad for his first feature and securing representation.
